I am a dedicated Data Engineer and Software Engineer with expertise in AI models and machine learning. With a strong foundation in research, I am well-equipped to tackle the dynamic challenges of the business world. And also, I have two names; Sina and Alireza if that confused you :)
My background is rich in both academic and industrial experience, particularly in the realms of Software Engineering and Data Science, with plenty of experience in ML, as my thesis resided at the intersection of these domains. Additionally, I possess notable expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) development and Data Analytics.
Outside of my work, I’m a passionate violinist who finds creativity and expression through music. I’m also an avid reader, always diving into different genres and authors to broaden my perspective. When I need to recharge, I head outdoors—hiking and camping are some of my favorite ways to reconnect with nature. I love experimenting in the kitchen too, always trying out new recipes and flavors. Animal welfare is a cause close to my heart, and I’m deeply committed to advocating for their wellbeing. I also have a love for film photography, capturing meaningful moments on analog film as a way to tell stories visually. In my free time, I enjoy woodworking and hands-on projects—whether it’s fixing furniture, crafting something new, or just spending time working with tools. And when I have a quiet moment, you’ll often find me tackling a challenging logic puzzle—something about the problem-solving process always draws me in.
I ranked 55th out of 140,000 students in the highly competitive University Entrance Exam, which earned me a spot at the country’s top university for Computer Engineering. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for several courses and collaborated with three professors on their research projects. Alongside my academic work, I also stepped into the corporate world, where I earned an internship that quickly evolved into a leadership role — becoming the youngest team lead in the Business Intelligence (BI) department. Beyond my technical skills in computer engineering and data, I have a strong background in design and drafting, with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD. After completing my Bachelor's degree, I pursued my Master’s at Western University, working under the supervision of Dr. Kostas Kontogiannis. More recently, I’ve expanded my research experience by contributing to a Caltech project, focusing on the AI components of their medical research, and co-authoring a paper with the team.
